The two letters called Hei in the name of God are looking exactly the same, and so it is with our world and the other world, just that the law of the other world is one of selfless giving, while the law in our world is the one of receiving for the self alone. Receiving for the self alone expresses itself in the law of gravity and the consistency of death and decay. The bush that burns but that is not consumed by its fire is a symbol for the spiritual force that contradicts the laws of physical expiration. How can something or someone exist in the world of time while it or he is not disintegrating?
Until a certain age, we try to adapt ourselves to society. Society seems to be a standard or norm that we look up to. Then later life will leave us frustrated and unfulfilled. After a common midlife crisis, we normally cross a bridge of no return. This means that we have accepted the hardships in life and are not willing anymore to change something in it. Our habits have already become like a second nature that is seemingly unchangeable. We go through life like a drunkard. Death happens when we have lost pretty much every contact with our divine soul, or, better to say, when we become so detached from it that no change or correction is possible anymore. Then we will choose another life to accomplish the changes that we have missed in this life. The correction is done when we have entered eternity. This eternity is living in our own hearts.
We must step by step unveil the many layers that block the flawless light that radiates from this transcendent reality. The first thing we must accomplish is to get out of our own program. Many people claim to be spiritual, but they as well are imprisoned in a mechanical system of mere habits. Before they ran after material things, now they run after spiritual pursuits, but the underlying program stays the same. Consciousness has nothing to do with discipline. Discipline is a mere means to reach higher states of consciousness. People usually mix those two terms up. Someone who is conscious and aware is neither lazy nor diligent; he just responds correctly to what is. Have you ever seen a stream of water that exerts itself to reach the ocean? It just flows with life itself. We must come away from the notion that life would be like a business with God. To become an absolute zero, we must rather learn to unlearn instead of learning 1000 new intellectual things. We must learn to see the world again through children's eyes. Exactly this is what Jesus meant: that we cannot enter the gate of heaven if we do not become like a child again.
